Life Lately – the 2026 edition.
What have I been up to lately?
I’ve been going on a whole bunch of coffee dates with friends & roommates. Gallivanting around the city to different cafes. My favourite is Anchor Coffee House but I’ve tried others and they’re pretty good too.

Make + Mingle has been going strong – if you’re not in the loop, it’s a craft group I host every third friday at one of my favourite local stores. It’s really fun and I’ve met so many lovely people through it. If you’re interested in making connections while hanging out and crafting come on by! All you need to bring is a project and your amazing self. If you’re not crafty you’re still welcome to come and gab! The next one is this Friday the 20th.

I’ve still been volunteering at a local secondhand shop in town. I absolutely love it there, although it can be a bit dangerous for my wallet. But, I needed new winter clothes last season and now I need new summer clothes so it works out! The ladies there are so nice! I can’t believe I’ve been volunteering for a bit over a year now – time flies when you’re having fun.

I got a bit of a job at The Olde Bake Shoppe in Sandwich Towne. It’s so much fun and I’m so thankful to Janet for bringing it to my attention. I’m only there one day a week, but it’s something to keep me busy and help out financially. The owner is lovely and so is her cat Sheba! Fitting name for a Queen eh?

I went to one of the most beautiful and heartfelt weddings I’ve ever been to. Judy and Kenny got married on the 14th and it was amazing! I’m so honoured to have been able to celebrate their special day with them!

Market-wise I had one at the University on March 2nd. I went with a friend who also had a booth. Her business name is The Risky Bee and she has a bunch of sassy and sarcastic items!! Check her out? I have another coming up on the 21st which will be at the Mastronardi Winery in Kingsville. It’ll be 11AM – 4:00PM if you want to swing by!

Business has been slow but I’m working on setting up my shop on here. I’m actually meeting up with a friend today who specializes in WooCommerce. Just waiting for her as I’m typing this. I’m so excited because this will not only bring in more business but make the ordering process so much easier! Eep!
Well, that’s it for now! I’m signing off.
