Musings of a Brunette Weight Loss Challenge!

Well since I’m on the blogging bandwagon again, I decided to do another post.  The topic? Getting fit!!! I’m going to be taking the journey with a diet/lifestyle change buddy – it’s legit!! We’re going to send motivational emails to each other with tips, photos, weigh-in’s etc. And I decided I’d share some of my/our? progress. 🙂  So here we go!

ImageThe top photo was taken today – me at 183 pounds, the highest I’ve ever been.  Thanks to medication, depression, and overeating I gained 60+ pounds. Yuck!  I’m hoping to achieve my goal weight of 112-125 pounds, (where I was before) by December or whenever is fine with me! As long as it all gets off.  Below that, are some of my fave photos of myself, where I felt more confident than I feel now. The years range from 2007-2010, which is from the (almost) end of my high school year to two years after I graduated, which means that the weight I was in the photos is totally possible, and not just me wishing for my younger preteen body.  I’m sticking to this as a lifestyle change, and am now decreasing my overeating to a normal low fat healthy amount.  We also bought a treadmill recently so I’m going to be trying that out, wish me luck??

  2. best of lucks! i’m also trying to get healthy!!! i got a bit too fat and couldn’t get in my jeans! so now i run an hour a week and eat the healthiest of all foods… which is not always the happiest of meals! hahahaha

    1. Haha, gotta hate when that happens!! I wish I could get into running lol. I’m just eating right and being more active. Try adding in healthier things you like? Like me – tons of frozen strawberries to cool myself off (no central air. :()

  3. Good luck! I think having a partner and blogging about it will definitely help! Weight is something I’ve always struggled with, and now I’m trying to get back to my second year university weight too. Somehow in the last year and a bit about 25 pounds have crept onto me. One thing I find that helps keep people motivated is putting up post-it notes or what not around the house (in your room or on the fridge) with little tips, encouragement or reminders.

    1. Hey Meg!! Thanks, and I totally agree!! Good luck to you to with your weight, you can do it!! 🙂 and good idea!! I also am hanging up clothes that don’t fit anymore in my room to remind me. And have the scale in the kitchen to help me not overeat. Its working so far!!
