5 Reasons to Enjoy the Winter Season

Okay, firstly – if you know me you know I’m not much of a Winter girl. I like the cold only because you can bundle up and not be dripping sweat. I prefer Spring and Fall – if we could just have those seasons I’d be on cloud nine. Haha! I decided to challenge myself here and share five reasons to enjoy the Winter Season. Let’s see what I’ve got…

one. Fresh snowfall (only when you’re inside watching it!) I find watching the snowflakes falling outside while I’m safely inside nice. Snow can be beautiful but as soon as it gets slushy and brown it’s a no from me.

two. Sweater weather!! Oh man, the fashion for Fall and Winter far exceeds Summer fashion by far. Everything is more stylish and comfy. You can accessorize with a scarf, layers, a nice jacket – etc! Chef’s Kiss.

three. CHRISTMAS!!! Eep. It’s truly the most wonderful time of the year! Putting up a tree, the Christmas songs, Christmas lights and decor, the cheer, handmade crafts, people being slightly less miserable, hot chocolate, etc. Enough said.

four. Sunny Winter days! These just hit differently. Some good ‘ole Vitamin D… it instantly lifts the mood and makes Winter more bearable.

five. The good cheer. Although Christmas can be super commercialized nowadays and it’s a time of grief for some – I truly find people’s spirits lifted for the most part. It’s a uplifting time of the year.

What are yours?

  1. I’m definitely not a winter girl either. I’ll take summer anytime over cold winter days. Thanks for sharing 5 reasons to enjoy winter. I needed a reminder.
