Her Internship Diary: Letters Against Depression – Vol. 2!

Hi ya’ll. These last two weeks have been quite busy, but they’ve also been fun!! I’m learning a lot throughout my internship so far and I can’t wait to learn more. So buckle up, as I tell you what I’ve been doing for Week Two and Three of my LAD internship. Enjoy!

Week Two Tasks:

  • Had our first team meeting – it went well!!
  • Finish up Community Events graphics.
  • Research Fundraiser Ideas.
  • Think about what to do for my in person community event.
  • Figure out what to do for my independent project.
  • Sign up for group work with other interns.
  • Finish up videos due by end of the week.

So, week two wasn’t as intense as the first week, since it was mostly researching, signing up, and figuring out what to do for our projects. I also had the opportunity to be a mod on the official Facebook and play around with our Spotify account. I made three playlists – so be sure to check them out!

Here are the album covers I made for the playlists:

Next up! My Canva graphics for my Zoom events (if you’re interested in attending, let me know in the comments below, and I’ll send you the link(s) once it’s available!)

Week Three Tasks:

  • Film creating a “hug” and upload the video to our Dropbox.
  • Make flyer on Canva for my fundraiser.
  • Figure out how to organize the fundraiser.
  • Sign up for my June 1:1 with Kim!
  • Figure out times for our first group project meeting!

Here’s the two hugs I created and my fundraiser flyer! Oh! If you have any ideas for my fundraiser please comment below! I need all the help I can get.

What I’ve learned these past weeks:

  • Opportunities that scare you are oh so worth it!
  • A little hard work pays off!
  • There’s no need to stress when you’re a team!
  • Communication is KEY!
  • How much I love Canva (again!)
  • How much I love creating playlists on Spotify!

Thanks for reading!
