Planner Time is the Best Time!

I’ve always been into planning – I remember having those planners back in grade school that we would all scratch up. After those I tried coiled, bound, and ring planners and finally came to the conclusion that the Happy Planner disc-bound planners are the ones for me!

Specifically, the classic vertical Happy Planner. I started off with a dashboard layout and it was definitely not for me, I felt creatively limited and I found I don’t really like lines when I’m planning. Everyone has their personal preferences though!!

If you’re not aware of the brand Happy Planner – then check them out! They’re an amazing company with beautiful products. Whenever I show off my planner, I show off the “magic” of the discs… I tell my unsuspecting victim to “rip” out a page and some are absolutely shocked and decline, but after some coaxing they finally do! The shock and amazement on their faces when the pages go back in smoothly is priceless! I wish I knew of their planners sooner!

I use planning not only as a way to plan out my week but also a way to express myself with stickers, bright colours, and a special Natalaylay je ne sais quoi! How I plan isn’t exactly for everyone but it works for me! As with everything I go through bouts of high and low planner energy… some weeks I’m doing more back planning than others. While others I fill in each day and can’t seem to have enough of planning! If you’re feeling “stuck” just remember it will pass. ‘Cause it always does!

What does my planning time look like? Well, I’m usually at my local library at one of their tables engrossed in my planner. I’ve got all my planner supplies laid out on the table in a picturesque layout (ready for Instagram photos!) and I’m nose in deep planning away! If I’m at home it’s the same thing except I’m either on my floor or bed (oddly enough, I don’t use my desk…) Haha.

I love spreading the word about the world of planning as it’s really a community! Quite a tight-knit and epically awesome one! If you’re ever interested in Happy Planning let me know and I’d love to help you out!! I love making planner friends and eventually (hopefully!) meeting them too! It’s oh so fun – really! Try it or else? 😉
