Caroling, caroling now we go

Well I decided to go all “Mrs Claus” on you guys, and write another festive post! Wait – does she even wear a santa hat? Hmm. Whatever! I also got an email from a disappointed aunt since I was a little late in writing a new post. (Gotta keep her happy!)

My friday was full of attempted christmas shopping and caroling! The reason why it was not a total success is that we didn’t buy much christmas gifts – we bought mostly for ourselves. Tsk tsk, I know! Plus we got on the right bus, however, it went the opposite way – go figure! The day we’re taking it together something has to happen, haha! We eventually got to were we wanted, our local outlet mall. But unfortunately there weren’t too many good deals, so off we went to Cameron’s. Speaking of Cameron’s, I won my first online giveaway! I entered a contest on their Facebook page and I was picked, woo hoo! My prize was a $20.00 gift certificate which I promptly used as soon as we got there. I bought Thr3e by Ted Dekker, and An Amish Christmas by several authors. I can’t wait to read them!! The Amish one is going to be a new twindition (twin + tradition) we’re going to read it every year. We’re the coolest, I know! Hopefully other best friends do this? We bumped into my dad at Cameron’s, which was actually pretty creepy, seeing as he asked us “Been here long?” (or something to that extent!) We usually run into creepers when we go out together, so before we knew it was him we were bracing ourselves. Ramble. Ramble. Ramble. We topped off the night with some good ol’ fashioned caroling! A family from our church meeting organizes it and we have one every year – SO much fun! Definitely the thing to get you into the Christmas spirit!! I wore my trusty santa hat, and was quite surprised when only one other person wore a festive hat….(so I added some to the photo below.) Now you can see my friends and I being our crazy selves in the front row. 🙂

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

  1. I also go shopping for Christmas and buy things for me… but instead of feeling guilty, I wrap them up too and put them under the tree so it’s a Christmas present like anyone else’s!!!! 😉
