I’ve been Effervescently Busy!

The word of the day is: Effervescent. Which is apparently “me” in a word. It’s definition is – vivacious, appealingly lively and enthusiastic. I’ve been called “bubbly” before but I prefer this word now, big words seem more elegant – no?

Introduction

What have I been up to? Oof. There’s so much. But, thankfully this is a blog post so I have all the time in the world to type, and type, and type. Isn’t writing glorious? You can just keep typing, and typing… expressing yourself with beautiful words in a different perspective than normal conversation. Ahhh. I love it. I’ve missed this.

I wish I could say I’ve been gallivanting in fields of flowers but I’m not that ethereal. Maybe I’ll add that to my bucket list? Be more ethereal. Instead, I’ve been on many adventures, of joy, tears, laughter, growth, time spent with family and friends, and so much more. I’ll categorize everything below in a list of sorts. Enjoy!

Natalaylay’s Adventures

  • Getting back into reading again
  • Going out and about with Janet
  • Being a crazy plant parent – and rocking it!
  • Planning away in my Happy Planner!
  • Gabbing away at our Create and Chat programs.
  • Discovering a self care app called Finch
  • Thrifting at Amazing Bins & Plato’s Closet with my Dad.
  • Celebrated Thanksgiving.
  • Started volunteering at a local second hand shoppe.
  • Did a presentation about Murals at the library!
  • Had a Doctors and Dentist appointment (boring!)
  • Spent time with some friends (old and new!)
  • Spent time with my Dad and Grandma (movie nights!)
  • Decluttered and donated a bunch of things!
  • Had a Halloween party at the Library with my beloved Seniors.
  • And, handed out Halloween candy which I haven’t done in ages!

Adventures with Janet!

Often, on our lunch we head off into the city and either share a meal, go for a walk, get some retail therapy in, and some good ‘ole laughter!

We’ve went to many places over the year I’ve known Janet and it’s honestly been such a joy doing so. I’ve loved every minute. Some of the places are the following: Jones and Company, The Goat, Grand Cantina, Timeless Treasures, The Maycourt Club Shoppe, St. Vincent De Paul, Good Will, Dollarama, and some other little gems. I seriously love my city. Come visit!

Reading Adventures!

Janet lovingly encouraged me to start reading and ignited my passion all over again. I first started with Children books, then I dove into short novels like The Library Girl (by Polly Horvath – a Canadian author!) Followed by Pine Island Home (again, by Polly Horvath) and lastly, Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi YagisawaEric Ozawa (Translator) The Library girl and Days at the Morisaki Bookshop were my favourites. Overall, I absolutely love being back into the routine of reading again – and what else helped was downloading a certain app…

Finch Adventures!

If you haven’t heard about Finch by now – what are you waiting for?? It’s an amazing self care app, that’s basically like a Tamagotchi (remember those?!) You hatch a birb (not bird!) and watch it grow as you check off tasks and goals. You go on adventures with it, and collect rewards. The best part, at least for me – is dressing it up in the cutest outfits, and designing their room to match! My birbs name is Polly and here are some photos of her in her room(s) below! If you’d like to join too, use my referral link? (if on a mobile phone!) or use my ID code: ZD2AHKYS3H. Thanks!! Happy Finching!

Thrifting till I Topple!

I had to refresh my fall and winter wardrobe, scratch that… I desperately had to find some sweaters to wear!! It was dire. In all seriousness, I had probably a handful of sweaters I owned that fit and looked nice, the rest didn’t express my style, and such. So, I did what I do best, and donated the rest! Now, the sweaters I found, ohhhh boy… I really won the lottery! All of them would have cost a small fortune if I bought them new, and I got them for more than half the original price – at least! I’m quite pleased with my collection now.

Tending to my Plant Babies!

I’ve inherited my dream plant, finally! One of my close friends gave it to me for my birthday! I’m in love. It’s a Monstera plant! Isn’t it absolutely lovely?! My other plants are doing well too! I have an Elephant Ear, a Rubber Plant, a Snake Plant, a Gollum Jade, a Succulent, a Monstera, and a no-name plant (I’ve forgotten the kind!)
