Introduction

If this is your first post in my Internship series. Look below for the the rest of the posts (if you’re interested!)

Week Five:

I made it through the first month! Wow! Now, that’s something to be proud of! I’m so proud of myself. It’s been such a smooth start, and I’m having so much fun!

So, here’s a roundup of what happened during this week (and, I’ll do week six as well, since I’m a bit behind!)

We had our second team meeting on the 17th – which went really well! We transitioned from doing all the same projects to group and individual projects, which was at first overwhelming for me – but I quickly got my footing.

I was sorted into the Hufflepuff house. I mean, my group: The Authenticity Panel – which is top secret! We had our first and second meetings and discussed our group work.

I had my 1:1 with Kim, the intern coordinator – that went well as well. We discussed all the good stuff, including my individual project! We also discussed our fundraising projects.

The poster for mine is below! I’d love if you’d check it out and consider donating? No pressure though!

We also started learning about Grant Writing in Week 5. I was extremely nervous/anxious and still kind of am. But, I’m sure I’ll power through and learn how – as I’m eager to learn! We are officially 30% through the internship – wow! That sure went fast!

Week Six:

I hosted two of my Zoom Community Events so far, one was about Faux Calligraphy and was a bit of a flop, I mean learning curve. For my next one, Kim helped me learn how to screen share and it went well. Three of my friends attended and we had fun! I’ll possibly attach the presentation slides below. (At the end of the post!)

The second one was called: Sticker Social With Natalaylay! And I shared where to buy rad stickers! For the next one, check out Letters Against Depressions Calendar. I’ll be discussing Mail Tag by Bianca Jagoe! It’ll be a swell time!

For the Secret Project (about being authentic! – shhhh.) We had our third meeting in this week. It also went well! We signed up for our third team meeting using When2meet. And, also signed up for our July 1:1. So fun!

And, that’s about it! I’m excited for week 7! Stay tuned!
